Reasons to Choose Marble Countertops

Twenty years ago, we processed and saw mostly granite as the main countertop, such as black gold sand, blue hemp, green star, Indian red, dark green hemp, Shanxi black, magic color red, magic color hemp, magic color green, brown diamond, red diamond, JEG red, British brown, G657, G652, etc., these materials processing countertops with a unique surface of the star, shining mica, glowing light is indeed beautiful, beautiful, very popular with Chinese consumers and European and American countries.

However, with the development of marble in the past 10 years and the surge in the number of marble applications, the substantial increase in the number of processing marble enterprises, the previous granite countertop has basically been replaced by the marble countertop, so the processing volume of the marble countertop has increasingly exceeded the granite countertop, and the granite countertop has been replaced. The reason why the sales volume of marble countertops exceeds that of granite countertops is due to the following factors in addition to the above factors.

(1) The varieties of marble are rich and diverse

(2) The output of marble is large

We see more marble than granite in the stone slab market. Since the large slab market displays an overwhelming array of marble, it is natural that people choose marble as the first choice when choosing countertops. (3) The cutting accuracy and high efficiency of marble

The hardness of marble is much lower than that of granite, the accuracy of cutting is higher than that of granite, and the efficiency of cutting is higher, so the processing efficiency of marble countertops is much higher than that of granite. Some granite with high hardness is cut due to the quality of the saw blade, and the flatness of the cut granite countertop is poor, and the straightness should be corrected manually during processing, which greatly affects the processing efficiency and product quality of granite. (4) Marble is easy to form, and various shapes are easy to process

The hardness of marble is low, and a variety of complex edge shapes can be processed with forming knives, with high processing efficiency and good quality, and the cost of edge profiles processed with forming knives is much lower than that of granite. On the contrary, because of the high hardness of granite, the cost of processing the edge shape with a forming knife is high, and the processing efficiency is much lower than that of marble. The edge molding of marble, especially the molding of special-shaped countertops, is easier to achieve mechanized and automated processing than granite, and realize the assembly line production of marble countertops.

(5) The grinding and polishing efficiency of marble countertop is high

Because of the soft material, the efficiency of grinding and polishing of marble countertops is much higher than that of granite, and it is easy to use mechanical equipment to achieve automation and assembly line operations. On the contrary, granite because of the high hardness, the efficiency of grinding and polishing is far lower than that of marble, and granite is often polished with mechanical grinding and polishing The problem of grinding marks, grinding rings, and low luminosity often occurs, and the countertop polished by equipment also needs to be manually reworked to meet the quality requirements.

(6) Marble and wall, ground stone is easier to match the current building decoration wall, ground marble, and the designer designed the countertop is more than the same as the wall, the ground stone, or matching. Marble can match this aspect of the stone more and wider, which determines that the marble material in the marble material environment is more likely to be marble than granite.
