How to choose the process method of mechanized mining of hard stone?

 

Fully mechanized hard stone mining has a history of nearly 30 years, and its purpose is to mine qualified blocks without damaging the environment, safe production, and maximum utilization of ore resources. The selection of mining technology method is related to factors such as stone type, ore body type, and operating characteristics of mining equipment.

 

Mining characteristics of hard stone mines

Hard stone with the trade name granite usually refers to granite, granodiorite, quartz diorite, diabase, gabbro, peridotite, basalt, gneiss and other lithological stones. Compared with soft stone, hard stone mainly has the characteristics of being hard and difficult to saw, but most hard stone has the characteristics of good splitting. According to the basic characteristics of hard stone, the current process methods and equipment for mechanized mining of hard stone are derived. The traditional mining method of mining hard stone is the process method of flame cutting machine excavation, drilling by hole drilling combined with manual splitting or controlled blasting splitting. At present, the flame cutting machine mining method has been rarely used, and there are two methods that are widely used: first, the diamond bead saw and the row hole drilling combined with artificial splitting or controlled blasting splitting high-step mining method; second, the disc saw and bead saw or manual splitting method combined with the full sawing or sawing splitting low-step mining method. The combination of bead saws and rock drills, combined with splitting mining, has become the most widely used hard stone mining method at present. The choice of the three options depends on the development of fractures in the ore body, the direction of the lines, the size and volume of the long stones, and the size of the cutting surface.

The combination of bead saw and bench type or truck-mounted rock drill, drilling and drilling row hole combined with splitting high-step mining method is the most widely used hard stone mining method in foreign countries, and the processes that can be completed are as follows:

First of all, the separation of long blocks from the ore body can be completed in the open-pit hard stone mine on the hillside. In an open-pit hard stone mine on a hillside with three free faces, bead saws and rock drills are responsible for cutting or drilling holes to separate long blocks of stone.

Secondly, the excavation of trenches can be carried out. In hillside open-pit hard stone mines, where there are only two free-face mining steps, trenches can be excavated using bead saws, bench rock drills and double-sided controlled blasting or static expansion agents.

Thirdly, the excavation of the initial trench of the sunken open-pit hard stone mine can be carried out. In a sag open-pit hard stone mine with only one free surface, a rectangular initial trench can be excavated by using the feed column and the beaded sawing method to take the "key stone", and the wedge-shaped initial trench can also be formed by using the wedge-shaped trench stone extraction method.

Finally, it can be used for processes such as the decomposition of long stones. After the overturning, all the long stones are drilled and drilled by the bench type rock drill to control the blasting or hydraulic splitting decomposition and shaping of the blocks, and the decomposition and block shaping of the long blocks can also be completed by static expansion agent or manual splitting method. The bead saw is equipped with a vehicle-mounted pneumatic rock drill or a vehicle-mounted hydraulic rock drill and hydraulic splitting machine, which is the hardstone mining process with the highest degree of mechanization and mining efficiency.

 

Hard stone mining methods Related to disc saws

Circular saw is an efficient and low-cost low-step mining hard stone sawing equipment with domestic intellectual property rights and independent research and development. At present, the mining methods that are used more in China and have a high degree of mechanization mainly include the full sawing method and the full mechanical method, the former uses disc saws and bead saws to mine, which can mine hard stone with high value and less cracks with high efficiency and low cost, and can be used for granite mining with poor splitting ability;

Regardless of the combination of mining equipment, the method of mining hard stone with a circular saw as the main engine is only suitable for low-step mining of hard stone with uniform color and no developed cracks. However, it is not suitable for mining hard stone with large color difference and pattern change, high requirements for color consistency and crack development.

When the hard stone is mined by the full sawing method, the disc saw is used to cut the vertical surface of the separated ore body combing long stone, the bead saw is used to saw and separate the horizontal bottom surface of the long stone, and the manually operated rock drill drills and splits the long stone into blocks.

The current circular saw can be installed with a double saw blade with a diameter of up to 4.6 m, and when the vertical cutting depth is used as the main section of the block, it can directly mine the processed stone slab block with a height of more than 1.8m. When the bead saw cuts the bottom surface of the long stone, the flatness of the cut surface can be controlled within 10cm, which makes up for the defect of 30cm uneven surface when manually splitting.

The fully mechanical mining method is the method of mining hard stone at a low step with a high degree of mechanization. The main process still uses a circular saw and a bead saw to complete the sawing and separation of the vertical and horizontal connecting surfaces of the long block stone and the ore body respectively; when the long block stone is decomposed into a block, a single-head or multi-head vehicle-mounted hydraulic rock drill is used to drill and drill a row of holes, and the vehicle-mounted multi-head hydraulic splitting machine splitting and decomposition method that can be equipped with up to 40 hydraulic splitting heads.
